1950 Buick Super 4-door sedan
"Two Spirited Tons of Supreme Satisfaction"
The toothy front grille of this Buick Super looks like it wants to eat the road - or at least the russian Moskvich next to it. Size did matter at the beginning of the 50s, when the economic prosperity promised a bright future to both the car companies and their customers. And Buick as GMs "Chrome-and-Glamour" division didn't hesitate to present the most exaggerated frontend in years to come. The rest of the car was solid design, and on par with this generation's Cadillacs, as a closer look to the similar windows and roofline reveals.
