1951 Chevrolet Styleline DeLuxe Convertible

"You'll find no smarter convertible on any street – or at any price! And the convertible interior is brand new this year, featuring rich, deep-buff leather seat upholstery and attractive new color harmonies. The strong and durable top, of course, is automatically raised and lowered."

It looked like a movie scene, but like this is real life in Havana, too: a cool guy cornering in a gorgeous pimped Chevy DeLuxe convertible. Be assured that he was going for it! No screeching tires, though, but the deep exhaust note and the excessive speed were impressive enough.

1951 Chevrolets were merely warmed-up versions of the 1950 models. A cleaner front grille here and slightly different chrome trim there had to be enough to keep the customers intrigued. Anyway, since their introduction in 1949, the Chevrolets were a huge hit with the buying public, and even in 1952, the post-war american car market wasn't saturated yet and people were hungry for anything on wheels.
