1954 Oldsmobile Super 88 4-door Sedan

"Far-in-the-future fashion in motorcar design!"

Oldsmobile's advertising might sound overstated, but certainly the Super 88 was a top-level car in it's time. Case in point: the cuban police was equipped with these Oldsmobiles in pre-revolutionary times, since they were considered as the fastest chase-cars.

New for 1954, the new Oldsmobiles sported a panoramic windscreen and a lower stance than the models they replaced. But although the famous and powerful "Rocket"-V8 made them the hottest cars in the pack, the styling remained rather conservative. The Super 88 (distinguished by a round badge on the rear fender) was the top trim-level of the 88-Series.
