Quo vadis?
We were travelling Cuba in the aftermath of hurricane "Ike" during the last few weeks, and we were eager to know what happened to the population of Cuban Classics. Luckily, we didn't see any wrecks on the streets, because most of the precious vehicles survived the storm in well-protected shelter.
More than "Ike", a serious threat for the population of Cuban Classics was the steep raise of fuel prices, ordered by the cuban government during about the same time. Prices practically doubled, and the result is immediately visible on the streets: there is hardly any private owned car driving around. Their owners have to suffer double, as costs for living are soaring, too. At the moment, private transportation in Cuba is in agony. But we hope that with time, the Cubans will master this problem, as they mastered so many before...
Ayway, we captured many Cuban Classics on our way, so stay tuned for more cars to be shown soon...
