Bigger images, better layout. Because size matters: our successful blog The Cuban Car Lovers has moved on to become Cuban Classics.
Here we'll feed you with images and stories of vintage american cars in an unique habitat: no polished old-timers, but everyday driving machines. Where else can you find this today than in Cuba, the carribean island where difficult economic conditions called "socialismo" forced the people to keep their father's cars up and running?
You might ask: "Why Cuban classics?" In fact you will see a lot of american cars, most of them from the 40s and 50s, the golden age of automobile styling in the United States. But more than 50 years of forced preservation did a lot of changes: engines where replaced, body-parts were remade. And in some cases there even emerged a new species: hybrids, transformed from spare-parts of different brands. Therefore Cuban classics... Enjoy!
